MAN Energy Solutions attends Marintec China 2023

From 5-8 December, MAN Energy Solutions, a pioneer in global energy solutions, made an appearance at the Marintec China 2023. MAN's booth at Marintec  focused on showcasing its digital technology, decarbonization solutions, and full lifecycle services in the field of shipbuilding and marine engineering.

In order to fully implement its strategic concepts of digitalization and decarbonization, MAN Energy Solutions adopts 3D printing technology and displays a 3D printer on its booth. The booth also features two interactive screens showing MAN's latest IPE application, which can present in 3D all the different components of MAN's two-stroke and four-stroke marine propulsion systems. In addition, MAN also created a vibrant green wall, symbolizing the concept of decarbonization.

During Marintec, MAN Energy Solutions signed a retrofit project agreement with Shanghai COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for the methanol retrofit of four single fuel engines of two 13,800 teu container vessels and two 20,000 teu container vessels. The agreement also includes an option for the retrofit of an additional nine vessels for 20,000teu container vessels.

MAN Energy Solutions also collaborated with Youlian Dockyard to establish a cooperative workshop in Shenzhen and increase local technical personnel.

MAN Energy Solutions reached a license agreement with Shaanxi Diesel Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (SXD) and China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd.(CSTC) for the Licensing of MAN 35/44DF CD Auxiliary Engine.

At the witness of Mr.Hu Kai, General Manager of China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd and Mr. Suni Zhihong, General Manager of Shaanxi Diesel Heavy Industry Co. Ltd, Mr. Shi Shuo, Director of No. 3 Business Department of CSTC and Sephardim Koblenz, Head of Licensing 4-stroke large-bore of MAN Energy Solutions signed the Licensing agreement of 35/44 DF CD. 

In addition to business cooperation, MAN has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Dalian Maritime University to have in-depth cooperation in technology research and development, teaching and training.
