Historic dual fuel retrofit milestone achieved
On 29th Oct, the world’s first methanol dual-fuel engine conversion was successfully delivered in Asia Pacific Dockyard in Zhoushan, China. The methanol conversion of Maersk Halifax converting the engine of a 367.6m long and 55.5m wide vessel to G95ME-LGIM dual fuel propulsion marks an important milestone in maritime sustainability.
We are thrilled to witness this momentous occasion, gathered with honorable guests. Present are Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Group Senior Vice President of Maersk, Xu Weibo, Chief Executive of Putuo District government, Chairman Mr. Zhou Yaguo and CEO Mr. Xia Song Kang of Asia Pacific Dockyard.
