About MAN Energy Solutions China
MAN Energy Solutions China (formerly known as MAN Diesel & Turbo China) was rebranded in 2018. The MAN Group set its footprint in China back in 19th century already.
The first steam engine was delivered to Hebei Province in 1898. Shortly afterwards, MAN was so well established that in 1903 we built almost all the bridges for the Shantung Railway line. In addition, we have taken on the delivery of freight vehicles, compressors, gas tanks, locomotives, cranes, pumps, ice machines, electric motors and printing machines.
The first two diesel machines were delivered to Ta Hwa paper mill in Soochow and Ching Ming Tai in Shasi in 1925.
Partnership with Chinese Licensees
Dating back to 1980s, MAN Energy Solutions started the first license agreement in China with the China State Shipbuilding Corporation for the local production of diesel engines and turbochargers. Today, more than 10 Chinese companies have manufactured large bore diesel engines as licensees of MAN Energy Solutions in China.
