What are you going to do?
Execute commissioning activities of control system and instrumentation on turbomachinery and its auxiliary systems worldwide onshore and offshore.
As Controls Commissioning Engineer your responsibilities are:
- Specialist engineer for commissioning of instrumentation and control
- Able to perform other basic commissioning activities
- Identify main components of the equipment / system and explain the working / function principle of these parts
- Read and understand PID`s, drawings and wiring diagrams
- Supports the customer in all questions related to supplied control systems and instrumentation and their integration in plant controls
- Works together with other colleagues or Client staff
- Solving problems if required with support of the MDT headquarters.
- Perform control system work and needed adjustments during new built or service jobs on turbomachinery and its auxiliary systems
- Commissioning of field instrumentation calibration check, loop-checks
- Commissioning of motor control centers, motors, control valves
- Checking, adjusting and troubleshooting of control systems, remote data transfer systems and other controls equipment
- Implementation of software modifications in control systems and/or visualization systems according to MDT requirements
- Check of startup interlock alarm and shut down systems and function check of auxiliaries
- Hot Commissiong of new built or overhauled rotating equipment
- Start up of the turbomachinery and adjust / optimize control functions
- Supervise test operation and optimize process integration
- Complete commissioning of installations, including completing of all relevant inspections and checks, liaison with the client and the MAN project managers, and handover of the installation to the customer at completion of commissioning.
You can help us with these qualifications :
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mehcanical engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years turbomachinery controls commissioning experience
- Commissioned or re-commissioned > 1 different types of control systems
- Good understanding in rotating machines and technical drawings.
- Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, can handle stress and difficult situations in a calm manner.
- Good communication skills and understands in English in conversation with clients subcontractors and other staff at site.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of relevant commissioning of electro-mechanical, instrumentation, control systems and pressurized systems
- Hands-on knowledge of DCS, PLC systems and programming of ladder logic, function block or other PLC’s programming language and with good understanding in technical drawing.
- Commissioned the control system of at least four different auxiliary systems (Lube oil, Control oil DGS etc.) together with the mechanical commissioning engineer.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good analytical skill and decision making.
- Good ability to accurately convey technical data and information into written reports.

Your Responsibilities
