• Responsible for his team, his own work tasks as required by seniors time to time in accordance with assigned responsibilities.
• To read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• To research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.
• Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
• Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of service & maintenance, including selection of methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
• Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Conduct research that tests or analyses the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
• Write performance requirements for engineering projects.
• Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of workers, technicians, or other engineers.
• Establish or coordinate the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition.
• To carry out maintenance and repair of all type of machines like Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, four and two stroke diesel engines and other internal combustion engines, gas and steam turbines, boilers, separation systems, cooling-heating, air conditioning etc
• Lead to Perform Major Overhauls of various portfolio engines
• To lead service technicians to carry out maintenances commissioning, performance tests, troubleshooting & root cause analysis. 
• To carry out all kind of maintenance, planned, unplanned , preventive , trouble shooting 
• Assist in preventive vibration measurement and analysis and preventive maintenance based on this analysis.
• Responsible for preparing detailed reports on all the work that is done on each machine.
• To conduct safety checks on all the machines or it could prove to be dangerous for the workers working on them
• It is incumbent upon Service Engineer to adhere to timelines and projects completion deadline agreed between line manager and team.
• Keep record, inform the superior, and team about recent lessons learnt in order to avoid repetition of similar problems or to increase effectiveness and efficiency in future. 
• Implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.

• To be aware of and adhere to all Health & Safety laws & guidelines relevant to this role and to the safety of colleagues, visitors and external partner is compulsory.
• Familiarize, understand and implement safety, and environment policy, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility.

  You can help us with these qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering in relevant areas preferably Marine / Mechanical
• Comparable vocational education with longtime related work experience or  equal
• Engineer/Technician  with at least 5 years of related experience in marine engines.
• Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels
• Understand and gain knowledge about Engineering products,  equipment, customer base and applicable processes.

• Carry out maintenance, technical service and troubleshooting on power plants and seagoing vessels.
• Provide qualified advice and service to our customers in all kind of technical matters.

• Supervises and leads team of service engineers & technicians, skilled labor, and work crews in all activities concerned with field engineering works aspects
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Competent in reading, understanding and interpreting specifications, drawings, and all other engineering related documentation.
• Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all Engineering Standards, QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all Company rules and regulations.
• Develop excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management. .
• Liaise with other staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the maintenance / service activities and projects.
• Planning, monitoring and tracking of maintenance projects and daily progress and work completed, comparing planned to actual. Takes appropriate mitigating action to ensure compliance with the plan, based on knowledge of available manpower, equipment, materials, and in cooperation with planning engineer and project management.   
• Ensures that the staff understands and implements the engineering aspects of the work plan, by explaining and engaging in pro ‐ active communication with the crews.
• Identifies and implements “on ‐ the ‐ job” training programs with the aim of developing and improving team members’ competency in required skills and abilities.
• Being an expert, responsible to manages complex field service missions
• Develop special solutions for his / her field of activity
• Develop, designs and implements overall field service strategies with cross company implications
• Coordination of experts of a lower level and external experts belonging to his / her field service responsibility area
• Serve as contact for highly sensitive issues and problems
• Promote the development and implementation of best practices in his / her own area of responsibility
• To provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
• Familiarize, understand and implement safety, and environment policy, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility.

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering in the field of Marine/Mechanical or Comparable vocational education with longtime work experience.
• Marine engineer with minimum 5 years of related experience, preferably in international shipping or relevant repair and maintenance work. equipment / machines

-        Machine Operation:

• Operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Set up machines, including selecting appropriate tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings for specific jobs.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure that parts are produced according to specifications.

  -        Blueprint and Technical Drawing Interpretation:

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the required dimensions and tolerances.
• Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.

  -        Quality Control:

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Identify and correct any defects or deviations from specifications during the machining process.

  -        Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs or servicing.

  -        Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that machines are operated safely.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

  -        Documentation and Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including machine settings, materials used, and production output.
• Document any issues encountered during machining and the corrective actions taken.
• Complete and submit production reports as required.

  -        Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Suggest improvements to machining processes, tools, or techniques to optimize production.

  -        Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, and quality control teams to ensure alignment on production goals and quality standards.
• Communicate any issues, concerns, or suggestions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other machinists and team members to share knowledge and best practices.
