  • As an individual contributor, perform operational Safety Assessment / Fatigue Assessment of entire engine, sub-systems or components based on standard Finite Element Analysis (FEA) workflow subjected to different mechanical and thermal loading scenarios.
  • Recommendation for design improvements based on FEA results – stiffness and strength.
  • Perform projects involving multi-physics and engage in method development topics to establish state-of-art practices.
  • Engage with all stake holders (Design, Manufacturing, Measurement, etc) to ensure correctness of boundary conditions and modelling of appropriate physics.
  • Perform validation of simulation results with measurement – vibration and strain gauge measurements.

You can help us with these qualifications:

In his role as COO, the incumbent is responsible for following responsibilities:

Administrative responsibilities:

  • The COO ensures that all Corporate and local laws and regulations are complied with at all times
  • The COO ensures that the policies and processes of MAN ES SE are complied with at all times

Superintendent Engineer – Mechanical (PrimeServ Marine & Power), Mumbai and Kochi

  • Timely completion of Superintendent Engineer’s scope of work as per MAN PrimeServ Diesel process and guidelines.
  • Actively contribute to develop the business for MAN 4-stroke Marine Service business in India.
  • To attend breakdown / warrant / trouble shooting / retrofit works on MAN 4-stroke engines.
  • Take ownership of situation and provide support to customer in solving technical issues.
  • Data collection – operating parameters, running hrs. Overhauling schedules etc.
  • Preparation of Service Report and forward it to the concerned.
  • Preparation of Internal invoice advice for billing the customer.
  • Provide technical and product related support to customer queries.
  • Documenting the product and specific site experience for future reference.
  • Prepare and send daily site work progress report to office.
  • Certification of time sheets, work report, and feedback report by the customer.
  • Help in generating additional sales of spares while on site visit.
  • Preparation and briefing before site visit.
  • Checking of Scope of work, prepare Estimation, Inputs for preparation of service contracts.
  • Comply with all statutory documentation as per quality systems.
  • Developing and maintain relationships with key customers and service providers.
  • Minimizing warranty claim, increase project profitability and Reporting of MIS.

You can help us with these qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Marine / Mechanical Or similar)
  • At least 12 years of experience in Marine service field at various levels (viz, Sr. Service engineer, Second engineer, Chief engineer etc.) with OEM or commercial vessels worldwide.
  • Knowledge or working with MAN B&W 4-stroke Pielstick, Augsburg engine, Holeby engine is necessary. Experience on 2 stroke MC engines with knowledge in Electrical is of advantage.
  • Preference to be given to Engineers who have experience in Operation & maintenance, trouble shooting of large diesel marine engines.
  • Overhauling and reconditioning of Engine components at MAN workshop using set process guidelines and MAN standard.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice for service attendance and project execution.
  • Computer- Basic PC Skills, MS Office (word/excel/power point & access), E-mail & Internet
  • Good command in English language (written and verbal).
  • Good networking skills with Product Centres and IGC workshops worldwide.
  • Strict adherence to HSSE, quality standards & compliance matters of the company.
