What you should know about us

The business unit PrimeServ Industrial is responsible for the entire aftersales business in the region Asia Pacific from the bidding to the execution phase. PrimeServ Industrial is handling all market segments like upstream, midstream and downstream business with all major global key customers.
The Head of Engineering is member of the Regional Team and is responsible for all Engineering related topics in the region Asia Pacific. Furthermore, the responsibility is to coordinate between the customers, the four hubs in Asia Pacific (China, North East Asia, South East Asia, Pacific) and the Product Centers in Europe. The Head of Engineering ensures that tools, processes and trainings are well in place and he also supports a sustainable knowledge transfer. A focus is on synergizing across all business segments as well as continuously looking for further growth potentials in the region Asia Pacific together with the local Engineering teams.

We can offer you the following tasks

  • Build business volume with customers for engineered aftermarket solutions
  • Lead functional and disciplinary activities of the department including staff selection, development and management
  • Provide customers with assessments of equipment revamp possibilities and budgetary proposals
  • Provide technical support and project management of customer contracts involving revamps, engineered solutions, and diagnostic services
  • Be the interface between MAN’s factory engineering departments and customers
  • Assist in the technical qualification of local suppliers of materials and services
  • Establish and achieve departmental targets
  • Support field service personnel with technical issues

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in engineering, including compressor design, rotating equipment, generator control and system engineering
  • Fluency in English language
  • Customer centricity
  • Strong networker

What you should know about us

The Head of Bids and Projects is member of the Regional Team and is responsible for all bidding processes in the region Asia Pacific. Furthermore, the responsibility is to coordinate between the customers, the four hubs in Asia Pacific (China, North East Asia, South East Asia, Pacific) and the Product Centres in Europe.  

We can offer you the following tasks

  • Ensuring a sustained business development and handling of quotations and order management in the region in accordance to the processes and rules
  • Responsibility for the business target strategy within the territory including exchange with the overall strategy from the region
  • Transfer of know-how of bid management, incl. calculation of costs and prices
  • Processing of service contracts
  • Tracking of overdues
  • Overseeing the Project Management of complex projects
  • Perform planning of order intake and revenue
  • Negotiate/approve contracts and service agreements
  • Regional coordination between IGC, CoC and PC
  • First contact for queries in the region

To be considered, the following skills and experience is required: 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical background

Turbocharger Sales & Promotion Manager region APAC

What you should know about us

MAN Energy Solutions builds exhaust gas turbochargers which are used both in two-stroke and four-stroke marine engines as well as in stationary systems. MAN turbochargers for large-bore diesel engines are amongst other locations produced in Changzhou China. We are looking for a Turbocharger Sales and Promotion Manager to foster the big potential in Asia for turbocharger sales on MAN license and OEM engines.

Job requirements

  • Increase order intake, market share and profit in sales of product line turbocharger products
  • Build and maintain business relations and being key account manager to MAN ES engine licensees in designated sales area
  • Proactive and autonomous following of merchant marine newbuilding projects
  • Establish and lead a pro-active sales team and create sales structure for Asian market
  • Win new customers systematically
  • Develop strategic business plans for turbocharger sales in Asia
  • Technical consulting and development of licensees
  • Technical and commercial support for license contract negotiations
  • Further development of business relations and across businesses  between licensees and MAN
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and price agreements
  • Coordinate and delegate technical support for matching, inspection and testing results of turbochargers
  • Plan and define Sales and Order Intake figures incl. forecasting

Required qualifications

  • Diploma or degree holder in Engineering, marine industry or similar.
  • Experience in turbocharger business.
  • Approx. 5 years of working experience, preferably in the marine industry
  • Experience in order processing and sales support
  • Knowledge of SAP modules and MS Office
  • Fluent English language skills fluent (oral and writing)
  • Intercultural sensitivity
