Service Manager Turbomachinery (Sydney)

What you should know about us

MAN Energy Solutions are an energy provider who manufacture machinery and equipment that produce energy for power generation, marine transport and processing industries. We provide industrial engines, rotating equipment and aftersales support through over 100 locations around the world.

Based in Yennora, Sydney we are seeking an experienced Service Manager to manage our Turbomachinery Industries service division including a small team.

We can offer you the following tasks

  • Reviewing service inquiries for works shop and field service personnel
  • Preparing service quotations including cost calculations
  • Preparing and review service activities including ITPs
  • Maintain highest standards for health and safety
  • Developing and maintaining the capabilities of field service personnel and workshop activities through profitable growth
  • Manage Industries workshop activities in Sydney and Perth
  • Establish high levels of competence in Industries service personnel and workshop
  • Establish and maintain a strong network of relationships within the region and product centres
  • Effective planning and control of all operations to meet profit targets and satisfactory customer care
  • Develop and maintain supplier network including subcontracted labour
  • Liaise and collaborate with APAC service centres for resources planning

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Australia citizen or permanent resident
  • People person and proven record in managing efficiently people
  • Demonstrated work experience in turbomachinery service and sales development
  • Experience in the management of technical service department including field service and workshop activities for the rotating equipment industry
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Exceptional customer service, conflict, and dispute resolution skills
  • Experience in managing and developing technical service team
  • Relevant trade/ professional qualifications.
  • Experience working in a matrix and regional framework
  • Project management experience in small to large scale turbomachinery works

Sales Manager, Turbomachinery Industries

What you should know about us

MAN Energy Solutions are an energy provider who manufacture machinery and equipment that produce energy for power generation, marine transport and processing industries. We provide industrial engines, rotating equipment and aftersales support through over 100 locations around the world.

We are seeking to grow the industrial footprint and presence in Australia and therefore build-up our service offering for our customers. With a focus on new equipment sales, we are seeking a technically minded Sales Manager.

The preferred location of this role is Perth (Henderson), Western Australia.

We can offer you the following tasks

  • Business development of turbomachinery new equipment sales
  • Providing customers support throughout all sales phases from concept select to contract negotiation. As new equipment sales manager your will liaise closely with our product centres in Europe, India and China and also regional sales support functions in APAC.
  • Your responsibility will be to screen inquiries and process data and prepare quotations and managing these opportunities through to contract closure
  • Regular interaction with customer in face to face and Teams meetings
  • Active customer account management of opportunities in SAP based CRM

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Proven sales experience in positioning and securing new opportunities
  • Experience in preparing quotations and proposals
  • Sound understanding of industrial rotating equipment (industrial compressors, expanders, steam and gas turbines)
  • Background knowledge of process industry, upstream, and or downstream applications
  • Excellent customer service, selling and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly present advanced technical concepts and solutions to a range of stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and ability to translate customer needs to sales success
  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering would be highly regarded but not essential
  • Ability and willingness to regularly travel interstate and overseas
